Positive: It was very cozy and you got the true Österlen country feeling. The breakfast had everything you could wish for. The view was spectacular.

Positive: The hotel has a very cozy atmosphere. We loved the sauna, which we did in the evening during a very cold night, so it was an amazing experience. Very good breakfast, especially because you can sit by the window and look out at the sea. It felt truly special. It feels like a place to disconnect.
Negative: Since we went during winter, the room was a little cold. The floor was particularly cold, so there could be a couple of small carpets by the sides of the bed, so you are not so "shocked" when you just get up in the morning. We wished there had been a TV in the room, but it's not a big deal.

Positive: Wonderful location with garden and sea (and sunrise) view. It is a unique experience staying at this old school with a familiar and quite environment, where you're surrounded by beautiful objects with history. The staff is wonderful, discreet and helpful. Absolutely marvelous breakfast.
Negative: The only thing about our stay was the little noise that came from the window / door to the garden, that we couldn't manage to stop. I didn't keep us from sleeping well.
Summary: Idyllic stay in the Swedish countryside.

Positive: Cute farm house converted bed and breakfast outside of Simrishamn. Decently comfortable and good location with view of the Baltic. Wide breakfast spread. They accept dogs if you pay extra 200 sek.
Negative: We stayed at three different bed and breakfasts during our trip to Skåne Österlen, this was the most expensive however not the best one. The rooms felt a bit outdated, no side table on one side of the bed but random trinkets and things that were mostly in the way. The bathroom walls had started to yellow. Probably possible to pressure wash clean if they wanted to. The room was also poorly soundproofed so we heard everything going on in the next door kitchenette. Probably easily remedied with soft close on the cabinets and drawers and a better door to the room. The room was mostly clean however we found melted chocolate or something brown and sticky behind the curtain. Glad we found it before our dog did! One of the three lightbulbs didn’t work in the bathroom. The breakfast was ok. Bread was dry and the warm food didn’t have a lid so it was barely warm. But as I wrote generally a good and wide spread. A bunch of small things that brought the experience down a bit.

Positive: What can I say? This place was so nice! We only stopped for one night, but it’s the kind of spot you could stay longer and completely lose track of time. We booked a garden view room, and as a bonus, we had a sea view too! The people running the place were absolutely lovely: warm, helpful, and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. There were nice selection of local drinks at the bar, and a few restaurant options within walking distance by the harbour.

Positive: Gustav was a wonderful host and the young woman who waited on us at dinner was so friendly and nice. They truly made us feel at home and the property could not be more beautiful. The decor was also stunning and thoughtfully chosen. The restaurant food was wonderful and the location was gorgeous.
